At the end of June, a two-day Open Gardens event held in Usk successfully raised £15,000. This impressive sum was distributed among various charities in Usk, as well as those serving a broader area in South East Wales.
One of those charities chosen for support was our very own Gwent Cardiac Rehab Trust! So, on a warm sunny day in July, committee member Rich Walden attended a presentation at Sessions House in Usk, to receive a cheque for £700 on behalf of the Trust (pictured).
This kind donation was inspired by former patient Norman Dodd, who was helped through his recovery and rehabilitation by Exercise Specialist, Andrew Scard from the Cardiac Rehabilitation team based at County Hospital.
So, a big blooming thank you to Norman, Anne, and the Open Garden committee for their incredible efforts!
